2024: A Year of Transformation into Christ-like Character

The Word of God is powerful and able to change us from the inside out.

For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. Hebrews 4:12

Why not start 2024 committed to growing in Christ? It can be your best year ever.  God awaits. He has so much to say to you because He loves you more than you can imagine.

Invite God in.  He’ll do all the work for you.

Reaping a Harvest of God’s Love

A Harvest of Blessings

Imagine God our Father, with His recently resurrected Son Jesus seated next to Him. Now imagine the words He so desperately wanted to tell His children. He couldn’t leave heaven and come to tell us personally. So, God spoke to a few chosen servants through the Holy Spirit. He told them what to write, word for word, so you and I would have those words for eternity.

What a precious, loving Father you have!

Join us during November and listen carefully to God’s words to you.  You won’t regret it and you’ll reap more blessings that you can imagine.

Immersed?

Immersion: Definition of the adjective:

“Concentrating on one course of instruction, subject, or project to the exclusion of all others for several days or weeks; intensive”

How the Church Will Change the World

The local church will change the world when its people live lives according to God’s design for humanity.

God’s design for the life of believers is most detailed in the New Testament.

Join us as we read a chapter or two each day through December and get immersed in God’s plan for believers. Then, live it!

What is Jesus Saying??

Listening Carefully To Jesus

Imagine what the apostles were thinking and feeling as Jesus spoke His final words to them prior to the cross.  They had questions.  He answered as best He could, to their ability to understand what was to come.

Consider: How closely am I listening to what Jesus is saying today?  Am I hearing what He is telling me is coming?

Join us during August and seek to hear the voice of God.

His Final Words

Can you Imagine?

Words create images in the human mind. We often visually perceive what we hear. Can you imagine what the disciples were perceiving as they listened to Jesus’ last words?  Were they hanging on every word He said? Or had they become accustomed to His teaching?

Would the disciples have listened more intently if they had perceived it was their last night together?

As you read through John 13-15 during July, be encouraged to pause and soak in every word He speaks.

Knowing God More Today Than Yesterday

book, bible, text-2073023.jpg

Ever-increasing knowledge of God

We can never know everything about God.  Yet, we can strive to know Him more through His Word, every day.  The more word we tuck into our heart, the better our life becomes.

Soak for a moment in 1 Corinthians 13:12:

Now we see things imperfectly, like puzzling reflections in a mirror, but then we will see everything with perfect clarity.[c] All that I know now is partial and incomplete, but then I will know everything completely, just as God now knows me completely. (NLT)

We don’t yet see things clearly. We’re squinting in a fog, peering through a mist. But it won’t be long before the weather clears and the sun shines bright! We’ll see it all then, see it all as clearly as God sees us, knowing him directly just as he knows us! (MSG)

Join us as we continue our journey with Jesus in His Word.

Learning How to Press On

Focused on Your Purpose

Steadfastly focused on His purpose, Jesus endured continual opposition. No matter how heavy the load was, he continued to press on. He continued to teach, declare and expose the  Kingdom of God on earth.

God protected and prevented Him from being arrested and killed before His time. He will do the same for you.

Join us during May as we continue learning from the teacher who never quit.

Knowing the Risen Christ

Jesus. Fully Human. Fully God.

Get to know Him more.

Are you well-acquainted with Jesus?

If asked to categorize the relationships you have with people, where would they fit?

  • I’ve met them.
  • I know them casually.
  • I’ve seen them many times but couldn’t tell you much about them.
  • I am fairly well-acquainted with them.
  • I know them well.
  • I can talk for hours about them because we’ve spent a lot of time together.

The only way to really know someone is to invest your time in them and with them.  Listening to their heart and experiences reveals who they really are. It is the essence of human connection. It’s the same with Jesus. Why not purpose to spend more time with Jesus?

Only Believe He is the Christ

John called himself “the one whom Jesus loved”. I imagine Jesus made John feel like he was the most important person in the world when they spoke.

Jesus captivated John’s heart with His love. This love brought John to believe.

The disciple Thomas, heard of His resurrection a week later, yet refused to believe until he saw Jesus with his own eyes. Jesus appeared to Thomas and said “Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.”

How blessed we are today, because we can to choose to believe, by faith, without demanding visual evidence.

Join us during March as we increase our faith in the Messiah, jesus Christ.
